Haix. Shuldnt education inculcate values and make one more matured in thinking?? But when i see my brother,his lv of thinkin is perharps not much different from a primary school kid. My view of spore education is tat we focus too much on examinations and test instead of enriching the mind of the children with knowledge and values. Yes, we cant do away with test, but hav we overdone it? We got like how many test? surprise test, class test, topical test ca1, sa1, ca2 , sa2? Everyday got 1 test? So what if like the kid scores in particular topic of physic test? Do u tink he really rmbs it? Honestly speakin, those memory work prepared for 'O' lv i hav forgotten le lor. Is those tat u understand will be ur knowledge forever. It is the knowledge gained. So what happen to those values that shuld be the guilde for making us a better person? It is being forgotten lor. Scoring well for test may not neccesary show that the person has knowledge, the kid might hav memorized it. Our education hav onli created people that know how to 死读书( dead study) instead or realli making the student gainin the knowledge.
